Good food

These days are spent in a Best Western Hotel at Clairemont Mesa Boulevard in San Diego.

On the other side of the four-lane street is a small shopping centre where are several restaurants.

One of them is of a kind rarely seen in the USA.
It is called “Sipz”.
A vegetarian fusion café.

It is a very large restaurant run by Vietnamese people.
A very successful restaurant because there are always lots of people eating there.

For good reasons because the food is excellent and the place has a very nice atmosphere.

What is remarkable of “Sipz” is that the clientele is very different from the people who go to eat in a restaurant like “Denny’s”.
Clearly the persons frequenting “Sipz” are into a different life style than mainstream America.
Many of them are dressed in alternative and unorthodox ways.
Or mixed couples from different ethnic backgrounds.
And many girl couples choosing to eat differently.

The restaurant is obviously a centre where people come to who are aware of what they eat.
Who do not accept to consume meat.
Who care about the quality of the food.

Meanwhile, “Sipz” is far from expensive.
A large bowl full of marinated and cooked vegetables with tofu and a generous serving of brown rice goes for $ 8.85 ( € 6,26).
